Rum connoisseurs and your average rum and coke drinkers will chink glasses again this year at the second annual Angostura Rum Festival. The festival, held to showcase the versatility of rum and its global popularity, promises to be a weekend of intoxicating fun.
Patrons of the event, to be hosted from September 16 – 18 at the House of Angostura, will be able to learn more about the history of rum in the Caribbean and its manufacturing process by viewing rum exhibitions and touring the distilleries. They will also be able to enjoy demonstrations on barrel making, cocktail mixing and cooking with rum.
Internationally respected by beverage connoisseurs, Angostura rums are considered to be the epitome of Caribbean taste and flair. Blends such as 1824 and 1919 are award-winning rums and, along with Angostura Aromatic Bitters – universally accepted as essential ingredient to any professional bar, have made the local brand a household name all over the world.
